One year anniversary gift for boyfriend: A beautiful watch

Isn’t it great to grow old with the one you love?

In this hub I am going to share with you another gadget for men as a boyfriend gift idea. Well, no surprises from the title, it is a watch.

My girlfriend gave me a watch not too long ago, as she noticed that I do not wear one and that she had never gave me a watch before, yet I had given her 2 watches already!

So it was really nice of her to choose a great looking watch for me.

A watch is probably one of the few accessories or jewelry that most guys will wear.

And as guys do have different tastes concerning a watch, it is thus important to get a good one right at the start.

She gave me a Seiko watch, one of the Chronograph series. It is sleek, cool, and the face of the watch is just to my liking.

I have a preference for metallic watches, and I generally refrain from the leather strap ones.

That’s because in Singapore, the weather is hot. So we tend to perspire easily.

And if our perspiration gets soaked up by the leather strap, it will smell.

So if you are living in a cold country, probably having a leather strap watch will not affect you.

Now I am not an expert on watches, concerning the specifications and details for a good watch.

However there are generally a few guidelines that you should take note when you are getting a watch for your boyfriend or husband.

1. Does your boyfriend or husband like a digital watch, or an analog watch?

There are people who just have problems reading an analog watch, as they have been too used to reading time from a digital watch. And the reverse is true as well.

So it is really important to note what kind of a watch does your boyfriend or husband prefer?

To be honest, I am not used to reading time from an analog watch. In my childhood days, the digital ones are rather cheap and so I spent more time with digital watches instead.

My girlfriend will tell me that she is not used to reading time from a digital watch.

Do note this important aspect well before you buy a good watch, as good watches tend to be a little pricey.

2. What kind of style does your boyfriend or husband have?

I like the cool and elegant look for a watch. Some of my male friends prefer the unique and quirky looking ones.

So if you are going for the cool and elegant look, go for a metallic watch. Or you may go for a watch for sports.

Either way, do check out the kind of style your boyfriend or husband may have.

3. Check the wrist size of your boyfriend or husband.

A watch must have a good proportion of size on a wrist.

If the face of the watch is too big for our wrists, it will make our wrists look small and very ugly.

If the face of the watch is too small for our wrists, it will look real ugly as well, because generally guys do not prefer a watch with a small face.

Hence, do take note of the wrist size of your boyfriend or husband before buying a watch.

A watch, in my personal opinion, is one of the best gifts for an anniversary gift.

Generally speaking, that’s because we do not change our watches frequently, and if we do have a good watch, we tend to stick with it.

Hence, spending some money on a good watch is ideal for a good boyfriend gift, or even a good girlfriend gift.
